Join United Way of Greater St. Louis for Unite With Us Days, a community‑wide volunteerism effort taking place April 10–24 during Global Volunteer Month!
During these two weeks, individuals, families, and teams from across our region will come together to make a real difference through hands‑on volunteer projects that support our neighbors and strengthen our community.
Last year, volunteers completed projects such as food packaging, yard work, and organizing community clothing donations—supporting thousands of individuals across our region and demonstrating what’s possible when we come together.

Pre‑planned volunteer opportunities will take place on Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, at United Way–supported agencies across Missouri and Illinois. Come experience firsthand the power of our collective impact.
Pocket Pal Kit Build

Sometimes getting to an organization to volunteer isn’t an option—so we bring the volunteer project to you.
Pocket Pal Kit Builds help spark a love of reading and imagination for children across our region. Through this hands‑on volunteer experience, teams create Pocket Pals—an 8‑inch plush animal paired with a children’s book and placed inside a colorful drawstring backpack. Each kit provides a story and a new friend for a child to take home, encouraging meaningful moments and early literacy.
This is a simple, on‑site volunteer project using a ready‑to‑go kit build. United Way of Greater St. Louis provides all supplies, step‑by‑step instructions, and a Project Guide.
