Availability: FULL-TIME
Monday- Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (June – July)
Experience
- Preferred previous summer camp and/or child care experience.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to follow directors (verbal and physical) of the Program Director and Camp Leader.
- Must be patient, alert at all times, and have good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be dedicated to the job and give 100% effort.
- Must being in the company of children.
Description:
- Camp Counselors will serve as leaders and showing the campers positive role model behaviors.
- Provide guidance and act respectful to everyone that is inside and outside the camp.
- Assist with making sure that the camp’s programs and activities start and end on time. Must be able to assist in Reading Comprehension and Math sessions for K-7th graders.\
- Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct, safety, and development of the campers.
- Participate in day camp events. Encourage campers to participate in a variety of program activities/areas and be able to receive feedback to develop skills.
- Help create great camp experiences. Ensure activity objectives are consistent with summer camp goals and mission.
- Help coordinate and implement day to day camp scheduled activities.
- Report to Camp Executive Director any and all problems dealing with the camp.
- Make sure that all equipment required is in proper working order.
- Must have patience when dealing with school age children.
- Be ready to have fun and be dedicated to the camp and the campers.
Dress Code:
- Camp T-Shirts are to be worn every day you attend work especially on field trip days. Please be sure the shirt is cleaned at all times. You will only get one shirt provided by the company. All other shirts are $1O and should be paid directly to employer before ordering takes place.
- No loud: makeup, hair styles, or haircuts/designs.
- No open shoe or high school shoes. No flip flops or crocs. Only tennis shoes.
- Only pants/shorts that are above your knees. Loose fitting dresses or skirts. No tight fitting or miniskirts, shorts. No spaghetti strap shirts.
- No facial tattoos or tongue piercings.
