Education Materials Assistant
Join the Friends of the Rainforest education team! We are looking for passionate, creative volunteers to assist in enhancing the offerings for our education program.
There are several different types of opportunities within this volunteer role, such as:
- Writing plays, lesson plan ideas, social media posts, and more
- Artistic design work as an illustrator, painter, graphic designer, or whatever you bring to the table!
- Updating lessons by recreating materials and/or adding more facts about nature and wildlife
- Administrative tasks such as cutting and laminating, design work, doing inventory, etc.
Youth advocacy is at the core of our story. Friends of the Rainforest supports conservation, research, and education in the Children's Eternal Rainforest in Costa Rica, a massive preserve started by a second-grade class and expanded by the efforts of children worldwide. Our lessons focus on different topics in rainforest ecology and give kids tools to teach their community how to be allies to the rainforest.
When you sign up for this volunteer opportunity, we will be in touch about scheduling sessions with staff members in our office in Ballwin, MO where we will work to identify areas of interest and delegate projects.
