Springboard to Learning Board of Directors

Belief Statement: Springboard to Learning believes that meaningful, memorable learning experiences transform a child’s worldview. 

Mission Statement: Springboard to Learning develops children’s abilities to think critically, create, collaborate and communicate. 

Vision Statement: Springboard to Learning’s vision is that one day all children are passionate, engaged learners who experience success. 

We are so pleased you are interested in the Board of Springboard to Learning.  Springboard to Learning provides significant value to the greater St. Louis metropolitan area by delivering high-quality arts-integrated educational opportunities to thousands of students, mostly under-resourced, throughout the region.  In order to provide directors with experience that maximizes their opportunity to share time, talent, and treasure, we developed a statement of expectations.

Director Expectations

  1.  Each director is expected to become familiar with Springboard to Learning’s belief, mission, vision, programs, and services, attending a minimum of one program annually.

  1. Each director is expected to make a personal, financial gift.

  1. Each director is expected to support the annual fundraising efforts.

  1. Each director is expected to attend and be prepared for board meetings, of which there are currently four, annually.

  1. Each director is expected to participate actively in at least one committee.

  2. Each director is expected to serve as an ambassador to the community and as a connector to those with whom they have a business or personal relationship, recruiting new directors, Luminaries for Learning members, and donors.
