Flood Relief Volunteers (St. Louis City, Missouri)

Volunteers are needed in St. Louis, Missouri to assist to fortify parts of the River Des Peres levies between Morgan Ford and Alabama. Volunteers should check-in at the Volunteer Reception Center to sign a volunteer waiver and then be divided into groups to assist with filling sandbags, moving them, and building levees.

We'll begin accepting volunteers at 7am.  Volunteers will likely be needed all day (until dark) give or take, depending on the river.  Volunteer needs will be kept up to date on STLVolunteer.org 

Guidelines for volunteering:
Wear warm layers, closed toe shoes (rain boots), and rain Gear
Bring gloves

Please express interest and report to the Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) located at River Des Peres Park parking lot adjacent to Fultz Baseball Field (just east of Gravois Rd.) 

City drivers also should be aware that while flash flooding can occur on any street, Riverview Boulevard between Hall Street and I-270 will remain closed until flood waters recede. The City also will close Alabama Avenue at the River Des Peres to better control flood waters.
